Nintendo should pull a Marvel and make its own movies, producers say

In 2004, miracle misused Hollywood after it lay the privileges to ten of its prominent comic book typeset down as guarantee for a half-billion-dollar loan to compose its own movies.

The end result led to the new life of comic book movies and a surge of cash for Hollywood.

Now, two producers tell Polygon that Nintendo must do the equivalent thing.

"The Nintendo variety transcends the stand," said Adrian Askarieh, CEO of Prime Universe pictures, who is presently working on film adaptations of Deus Ex, Kane & Lynchand Jonny Quest. "You can say Nintendo and for a lot of people it silent represents video games. Everyone knows Nintendo, kids, adults; it's multi-generational. They have these brilliant properties that most of us have grown-up friendly to. For them to not take benefit of that would be a bad plan."

Askarieh believes Nintendo should follow in Marvel Studio's footpath, putting up their typeset as guarantee for a substantial advance that would pay for pictures they have totality direct over.

"That was a giant risk for Marvel, but they did it and look at them now," he said. "Nintendo should do the same thing.

"The more iconic the typeset are, they better the movies they will make."

The idea isn't as eccentric as it may sound to some.
